Recapping the potty training boot camp:
Well it didn't exactly work like we had hoped. I was hoping by day three there would be no accidents. That's what the blogs said at least. But every child is different! That's what I've had to remind myself. Danny has been doing a good job tho. He had a lot of accidents yesterday. A lot while I was driving him around.
Today he has been stubborn. I'll ask if he has to use the bathroom, and he'll tell me no. After an hour, I started to panic! I knew he was going to pee on the floor. I sat there asking every few second and watched him get mad at me for asking so much. Finally, he yelled PEE PEE! I snatched him up and plopped him on the potty.
So far today, we've done really good.
We also started the kids on swim lessons this week! Danny is the same age I was when I took swim classes. Maddy is not yet four months, but they accept kids as young as 6 weeks.
So every night from 6-6:30, we've been dunking our kids under water and letting them float (and scream!!!!) on their backs. Danny has learned how to swim to the steps to get out of the pool. Also he is learning how to swim to the wall and walk his hands across until he makes it to the steps.
Maddy hates it the whole time we are there. Danny hates it at first, then starts to enjoy it! That makes me happy because I love to swim and because Aunt Anna and Uncle Travis have a pool.
